101 ways to praise a child...

when i was in high school, they gave each of our teachers a poster or magnet - something - that had "101 ways to praise a child" written on it... i was in ap english at the time, and my teacher, ms. cobb, decided to start using it while grading our papers... my homework assignments on crime and punishment would be returned with a "hot dog" written on it... she told us about it, and it got to be a joke within our class... our favorite was "you're a-okay, my good buddy..." it was actually written on the list... i've never forgotten about that - and something at work reminded me of it this week... i was making corrections for the paper and at the bottom of our executive director's column, it said, "Awesome statement. You are right on here."which seemed like a really strange thing to write at the end of an editorial column... like self-praise or something... but it was funny, so i decided to research the 101 ways to praise a child... and i found a list... i don't think it's the exact same one... it doesn't have the "you're a-okay, my good buddy"... but it's still pretty funny... so i've decided to post it... look for your favorite and use them to praise someone today!!!
